Dr. Kirkpatrick grew up in Henderson, KY and decided she wanted to be an optometrist when she went to the University of Kentucky. She graduated with a Biology degree and a minor in Spanish, then attended the Southern College of Optometry in 2009. During her time there, she was president of the Kentucky Club, vice president of the National Optometric Student Association, and secretary of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. She also thoroughly enjoyed mission trips and used her Spanish skills to conduct screenings and provide eye care in Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. After graduating optometry school, she decided to pursue a residency in ocular disease at the Huntington WV VA Medical Center from 2013-2014.
Dr. Kirkpatrick joined Family Eyecare Associates in 2018 and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She especially enjoys managing pediatrics, ocular disease, dry eyes, and primary care optometry. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with loved ones, running, yoga, and traveling.
